Therapy can be an intimate and life changing experience, leading to self-awareness and supporting through life transition. It can also be a safe space to explore the past and untangle experiences and relationships that might affect the way we are today. You might want to address symptoms or distressing feelings, process a significant life event or work towards matching your goals to your values. The reasons for coming to therapy are as unique and individual as each of us.
If you are interested in starting therapy, the first step is to contact me. This can be via email or you can request a brief phone call. I aim to respond within 24 hours.
The first appointment will be a consultation, to discuss your needs and how I can best help you. Following from that, we can decide together whether we continue or explore other options for you.
I usually work in an open ended way (meaning there is not a predefined number of sessions) with once weekly appointments, however if you have other preferences we can discuss them.
Sessions last for 50 minutes and are scheduled at the same time and day every week. This means that when we work together, you will have a slot reserved.
